Meme: Passion Quilt
Kilchoan Primary School, Ardnamurchan. Their impression of Health and Wellbeing (and mine too). Taken on Sanna Beach, Ardnamurchan. My impression of this would be, ‘Trying Without Wings’! I’ve used this picture in our new Health Promoting Schools Toolkit in Highland and just about every presentation I’ve done recently. To me, it sums up pretty much the notion of safe, happy, nutured, included, responsible, acheiving, respected kids.
My good friend and colleague Tess Watson tagged me to do this, and I was only too happy to oblige, a quilt is being made of all the pictures that sum up our passions and inspirations as learning professionals. I’m urging others to follow suit, the idea is to:
1. Think about what you are passionate about teaching your students.
2. Post a picture from a source like FlickrCC or Flickr Creative Commons or make/take your own that captures what YOU are most passionate about for kids to learn about…and give your picture a short title.
3. Title your blog post “Meme: Passion Quilt” and link back to this blog entry
4. Include links to 5 folks in your professional learning network or whom you follow on Twitter/Pownce.
That means you – Jim Henderson, Bryan Gregg, Ollie Bray, Robert Quigley & John Johnston
